David Price

Biography

David Price is a freelance consultant, specialising in arts education projects. After a career as a performing musician, he worked extensively in adult, further, higher and community education. In the 90’s he devised the innovative curriculum for Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he served as Director of Learning. Since becoming a consultant he has worked on many music projects in the UK and abroad. He has helped to develop the Youth Music Initiative in Scotland and has led projects for conservatories and national music development agencies. His work also includes evaluating education projects and he is currently project leader of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s 3-year Musical Futures project. In 2001 he was elected as fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts.
