Evaluating Your Project

Description This course helps you plan your evaluation as part of your project.
This course is running as part of 5 Project Management courses, however each session stands alone and can be attended on its own.

The course covers: What exactly is meant by evaluation?
• How it relates to music projects and work with young people.
• How important it is to build in evaluation processes right from the start.
• Who exactly is evaluation for and why?
• Different approaches and where to start.
• How to collect and interpret evidence, the importance of reflecting and moving forward.
• Different ways of collecting, assembling, and interpreting evidence. Including using appropriate and creative methods for collecting and collating aural and visual evidence.
By the end of the course, trainees will: have a clear idea of what evaluation is, who it is for, and some techniques and approaches appropriate for music projects with young people. All participants will take away a copy of the Arts Council publication Partnerships for learning: a guide to evaluating arts education projects.
