| Description | South Yorkshire Music CPD Network MusicLeader Yorkshire is delighted to continue our fantastic partnership work in South Yorkshire. This year, we are teaming up with Get Sorted Academy of Music in Rotherham to bring you our South Yorkshire Music CPD Network. The network will meet over 4 days and practitioners will have the opportunity to access training from leading music professionals and share practice, contacts and project information. Anyone is welcome, just book a place and come along! Creative group work with teenagers Tuesday 23rd March 2010 Tim Steiner The session will look at ways of leading young people in a process of creative groups work, composition and collaborative songwriting. We will look at ways of getting people to work together, strategies for creating and refining musical ideas, and developing group performances. The session will very much be concerned with the ways it is possible to challenge young people to make their own music in collaboration with others. It will also look at ways of encouraging and inspiring them through creative and dynamic leadership. Whether it’s a one to one lesson or as part of a group or club, Get Sorted offers expert tuition for all ages and abilities. They are the only ‘Rockschool’ exam venue in South Yorkshire and are proud to have achieved a 100% pass rate. They also offer Association Board of the Royal Schools of Music Examinations, NCFE, AQA and ASDAN qualifications. They offer a wide variety of courses with staff that are friendly, enthusiastic and experienced. |
