| Description | South Yorkshire Music CPD Network MusicLeader Yorkshire is delighted to continue our fantastic partnership work in South Yorkshire. This year, we are teaming up with Get Sorted Academy of Music in Rotherham to bring you our South Yorkshire Music CPD Network. The network will meet over 4 days and practitioners will have the opportunity to access training from leading music professionals and share practice, contacts and project information. Anyone is welcome, just book a place and come along! Working with Mixed Ability Groups Wednesday 5th May 2010 Phil Mullen, Goldsmith’s College, London This workshop is a practical music making workshop which looks at methods and material which will be useful for working with mixed ability groups in a wide range of settings. At the end of the workshop, participants will: understand the key issues related to working with mixed ability groups and have strategies to develop their work, have a range of musical starting points, rhythmic, melodic and imaginative for working with mixed ability groups, have explored issues relating to group roles behaviours and leadership, have developed musical pieces which highlight ways to democratize participants contributions. Whether it’s a one to one lesson or as part of a group or club, Get Sorted offers expert tuition for all ages and abilities. They are the only ‘Rockschool’ exam venue in South Yorkshire and are proud to have achieved a 100% pass rate. They also offer Association Board of the Royal Schools of Music Examinations, NCFE, AQA and ASDAN qualifications. They offer a wide variety of courses with staff that are friendly, enthusiastic and experienced. |
