Fundraising for Your Project

Description Part three of our Project Management Course aims to provide you with the skills to start fundraising for your youth arts project. This course is running as part of 5 Project Management courses, however each session stands alone and can be attended on its own.

The course covers:

• Why should people give money to your project
• Where does the money come from
• Making your own money
• Communication – how to pitch

By the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Explore a wide range of different ways of financing and resourcing projects in the UK
• Understand public, private and statutory sources of support
• Understand why youth music/arts projects are funded, and the national climate and context of support for young people
• Identify what it is about your work which might be of interest to funders
• Explore entrepreneurial approaches to financing projects, including looking at social enterprise, and effective partnership working.
• Be able to research and find further information about fundraising
