| Description | This 2-day course, led by acclaimed community musician Phil Mullen, will give you a clear understanding of the theory of how groups work and the practical skills to feel more confident working in groups. By the end of the course, trainees will be able to: - Grasp the theory behind what defines groups and group work - Identify the causes of conflict and how to handle them - Recognise good group work practice - Deal with dominating and / or withdrawing group members - Trainees will be given help, both in their personal approach and with structural issues to optimise the group experience This course takes place on 14th and 21st January 2011.
